On leave. Contact MCS dept. for immediate assistance. To provide more convenient schedule for our
students,
CS 4660 (Database
Architecture) is offered as a HYBRID (combination of In-class and online instruction)
COURSE in Fall 07.
Hybrid courses provide best of both worlds: the
in-class experience and flexibility of online courses. SO GIVE IT A TRY!!
In CS 4660, students will learn to use SQL, PL/SQL on
Oracle 10g and will be able construct moderate to difficult SQL queries by the
end of this course.
The course focuses on database design using ER model and Relational model.
This hybrid class meets every Monday 4:00 –
5:50 pm in Room S125 for an in-class lecture/hands-on SQL practice.
CS 4660 also has an online component, which may include assigned
reading/lecture, hands-on assignments, and discussions.
Students will have flexibility to choose the time and place to work on the
online component within certain time guidelines (typically within a week) and
will make use of blackboard.
In CS 6660, students will learn about various
components of a database system and principles behind them, while investigating
options some of the commercial database systems such as Oracle, Sybase
offer. Students will also study
methods and issues in design and development of database applications by
working in teams on a database application,
concept-to-completion using Oracle 10g.
This hybrid class meets every Wednesday 4:00 – 5:50 pm in Room S125 for
an in-class lecture/discussions/hands-on database/application design
experience.
CS 6660 also has an online component, which may include assigned
reading/lecture, online discussions, hands-on database/application design/development
deliverables.
Students will have flexibility to choose time and place to work on the online
component within certain time guidelines (typically within a week) and will
make use of blackboard.
